- SquareSpace. This is a blogging platform for bloggers who don’t mind shelling out at least $8 a month. Yes, you pay as you blog. However, newbies will definitely love SquareSpace as the interface is quite easy. It’s almost like playing with Lego.
- Posterous. If you absolutely hate HTML and all that programming crap, then Posterous is the blogging platform of choice for you. All you need to do is email your blog post to Posterous and bam, your post is live. You can post pictures, videos, and even do tagging with Posterous straight from your email.
- Tumblr. If you’re fond of Twitter and blogging, then meet the hybrid: Tumblr. This blogging platform allows you to post the same way you do in blogging platforms but your posts are shorter. Well, they’re a little bit longer than a regular Tweet. The interface is not as sobering as a full-on blog, so a lot of people gravitate towards Tumblr.
- WordPress. Bloggers who are loyal to the blogging platform WordPress are willing to poke your eyes out if you so much as say it sucks. Yes, it has become quite popular as it is undoubtedly a very powerful blogging platform. If you want to customize everything in your blog, WordPress is the platform of choice. It does take getting used to as the interface is not for the newbie blogger, but once you’ve learned the ropes, you’ll definitely reap the rewards.
- Blogger. This is arguably the most user-friendly of all the blogging platforms, although many would beg to differ. It’s owned by none other than Google. You can drag & drop widgets with ease and edit the template as you see it. When it comes to blogging platforms, Blogger is great for both the newbie and the savvy blogger who wants it all.
